TOT3: Pedagogical leadership and management in school and HE in align with CBC
Pwani University participated in TOT 3, which was held on 25th April to 27th April 2022 at University of Nairobi. The goal of the training was to enable participants to:
- Comprehend the concept of broad based pedagogical leadership
- Understand how broadbased pedagogical leadership works through human resources (wellbeing, motivation) and leadership structures (leadership structures, distributed leadership)
- Identify with how to lead the school operating culture and management culture (effect of organizational culture, leadership culture)
- Understand what kind of pedagogical leadership is needed to support the implementation of CBC
- Reflect the benefits of pedagogical leadership to Kenyan teacher education and school context and how teacher education and school context should be developed to support CBC and broad based pedagogical leadership
Pwani University was represented by four staff, namely Dr Alfred Omoro, Dr. Alice Anika, Dr. Joseph Makuna, Mr. Gathu Kamanja, Prof Helen Mondoh and Prof. Jacinta Kwena
The training consisted of pre assignment, lectures, workshops in small groups and 10 week remote session.
